You've inspired me - I may do a whole post on how to approach Brideshead. :)Tesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07797493386545660391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989033992988999073.post-34392834272151913572012-01-03T15:33:19.064-06:002012-01-03T15:33:19.064-06:00Nice! Knowing what those are will add some helpful context to the story. If you can, read the chapter on Brideshead Revisited in George Weigel's "Letters to a Young Catholic" (I think most of that chapter is available online). Finally, keep in mind as you're reading that the main actor in the book is actually Divine Providence, and try to interpret the story in that way. It's a sad book if you don't see it as an exploration of God's subtle but all-encompassing grace. Within that context, it's beautifully redemptive.

I hope you like it! Please let me know what you think after you read it. :)Tesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07797493386545660391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989033992988999073.post-30023691165972239762012-01-03T15:04:58.730-06:002012-01-03T15:04:58.730-06:00After reading dozens of recommendations for "...After reading dozens of recommendations for "Brideshead"--Fr.
