It's not THAT bad!

After a frantic Skype session with my mom this morning, I received the following email from my dad. I read it to my roommates and we all laughed and laughed because it's so true.

[Written by my dad]
This is an exact transcript of my typical Sunday morning
Mother: Are you on your computer?
Me: No
Mother (yelling): THERESA'S ON SKYPE. WHERE'S MY COMPUTER.
Mother: Theresa's on skype. How do I turn this on.
Mother (yelling): ANGELA, JOSEPH COME QUICK, THERESA'S ON SKYPE.
Mother (yelling): THERESA CAN YOU HEAR ME.
Mother (whispering): How do I turn this on.
Mother (yelling): THERESA CAN YOU HEAR ME.
Mother (yelling): THERESA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
Mother (yelling): CAN YOU HEAR ME? I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
Computer: Grblexcic grabnik klapnikzfrzt
Mother : I can hear you, I can almost hear you.
Computer: Blinplatz fitsbrinkl grgl zzzzzzz
Mother: I can hardly hear you.
Mother (yelling): THERESA CAN YOU HEAR ME.
Mother (yelling): THERESA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
Mother (yelling): CAN YOU HEAR ME? I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
Repeat reading the previous section for the next 1 minutes.
Mother (yelling): LOOK AT THE TIME. WE'RE LATE FOR MASS. RUN TO THE CAR. HOW DID IT GET SO LATE.

Skype is the biggest setback in human communication that I am aware of.

Oh Dad, you're such a joke-ster!
True, Skype is a madhouse. I am always yelling because my family can't hear me (maybe because they are all talking at the same time) but at least it is free... right?

Good luck with Skype, The Book Girl
