Berlin was completely destroyed in World War II, and then it was split in half until 1989, the year I was born. That was recent, man.
The city is still reeling, trying to figure out who it is. Berlin asks itself every night, "Where do I belong in this world? What is the meaning of it all?" It's a confusing time for this young town.

On the other hand, the wall came tumbling down. That's got to count for something.
There are some cool pictures on what's left of the wall. There's this one...
And this one...
And this one.
Actually this one is kind of weird. I don't know why we took a picture of it. Probably because all the other tourists did. Peer pressure, gets you every time.
And guess what else is on the Berlin Wall. As of March 6, 2010.
This is a big deal, folks.
Our names. See if you can find them. Going clockwise from the top, it's Isaac, Tess, Joey (way over in the bottom left) and Martin. Pretty cool huh?
I am flying to Dublin tonight. So excited!
