Dublin Shopping

Here is what I saw in Dublin:
Beautiful dishware, that made me long to decorate a house of my own.
Darling sewing stores, with cloth and ribbons galore.
And buttons. Adorable buttons.
I saw Irish soda bread for sale, milking the St. Paddy's Day hype for all it was worth.
And I saw a giant book fair at Trinity College.
Chinaware, ribbons, buttons, bread, books... What do you suppose I bought?

Is that a trick question? Books, of course. I bought musty old copies of the romantic classics Lorna Doone and Wives and Daughters. They have that wonderful old-book smell and I can't wait to read them.

Happy reading to you, The Book Girl
