I kept it simple this week with a Shabby Apple classic and my favorite Gap cardigan...
Plus a new bracelet—Christmas present from Grandma—and my sturdy black flats that Frank gave me for Easter and which I've worn every day since. They're headed for retirement, poor black flats, because they're developing holes from all that wear.
Most important of all, my fluffy Notre Dame zip-up! I've worn that baby every day for the past 2 weeks, because God forbid anybody meet me and not know I went to Notre Dame. You've heard the old joke: "How do you know someone in the room went to Notre Dame?" "Because they told you." So proud of my alma mater, especially today. :)
Are you watching the National Championship tonight? I'll be on the edge of my seat the whole game, and I know I'm going to cry whether we win or lose.
My favorite article about tonight's game? Here.
Still have Christmas decorations up (as I shamelessly do)? Share here.
Go Irish!!!
Love the pink and navy together. I'm always eyeing Shabby Apple's dresses!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, I've been a Shabby Apple fan for years... they're a little expensive but I think worth it if you know you'll use the dress a lot. Have you bought anything of theirs?
Deletetoo bad about last night, but gooooo Badin! lol
ReplyDeleteNormally I delete all Anonymous comments but you seem to know me in person, so I'll leave it. I'd definitely appreciate it if you let me know who you are though...
DeleteI love pink and navy too... (and I have that same cardigan! love it). You look lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, last night was a disappointment... ;) but then I'm more of an MSU gal.
Thank you! Isn't it a fun combination? Normally I'm not very creative with clothes so mixing up colors was a little wild for me haha. How cool that you have the same cardigan—great minds think alike!
Deletehaha, fair enough. Oh well, there's always next year! And just being at the game was exciting enough, considering the last time they made it to the national championship was before I was born. So I'm not tooooo upset about it anymore. :)
Oh what a great outfit! I'm partial to my little pink cardigan too. It just goes so well with a dark dress or shirt to make it pop.
ReplyDeleteI, too, get incredibly attached to my favorite shoes and wear them into the ground, well past when I should get rid of them. I also know how hard it can be to find that perfect pair of flats, and who wants to go through that again? :-P
I don't think I've visited your blog before, so hi! Thank you so much for linking up, and I hope to continue seeing you around!
I love that dress. I have one with a full skirt like that too, and I always feel so girlie wearing it. :-) Love the pop of color from your sweater too.
