Wonderful books for teen-age girls: 3

This is an obvious one to anyone who knows me.

The Anne series has influenced me more than any other single book, except probably the Bible.

A lot of people consider them "mediocre literature." That's probably true. Sometimes my taste is not so highbrow.

It's just, I find them to be the most real-to-life books. They encourage you to be a better person. They have just the right mix of homey family activities and dramatic unique ventures. (Just like real life.)

The best one of the whole series is Rilla of Ingleside.

I recommend them to any girl.
