To Do This Weekend

One time I asked Rob Gallagher (John's brother) how on earth his mom manages to do it all... the woman has 13 children, homeschools half of them, and runs half-marathons. I kind of want to be her when I grow up. Anyway, Rob said, "It's all in the to-do lists," of which his mom apparently has many. In that spirit, here's my list of things to do this weekend...

1. The annual PLS dance! It's tonight in the cavernous Great Hall of O'Shaughnessy - an interesting and very Harry-Potter-esque locale. Rather than deal with the hassle of asking a date, I instead asked about 5 of my favorite guy friends (including, of course, Sam, John and Rob) to accompany Lillian and me. We'll each walk in with a guy on each arm. :) In all seriousness, though, I still really need to figure out what I'm going to do with my hair.

2. Buy a present for my Badin friends' Secret Santa exchange. The limit is $15 - any suggestions?

3. Register for the March for Life. Have you registered yet? As Sam would say, "Do it. Do it now!"

4. Apply for my dream job journalism fellowship for next year. Please say a prayer that I get it. Also, they want me to write an essay about my "career goals." Career goals? What career goals? (Just kidding, just kidding.)

5. My journalism paper - 10 to 12 pages about journalistic ethics. As my dad said, "there are journalistic ethics?"

6. Finish my senior thesis. Ooooh this one's going to be a doozy. Goodbye, world. I shall be barricading myself in my room with stacks of books and coffee. See you Monday. :)
