Bar Exam Day!

Frank is taking the bar exam today and tomorrow. I have total confidence in him, but the poor man is pretty nervous. If you have a minute to spare, would you mind saying a prayer on his behalf? He (and I) would appreciate it so much.

Thank you! And here's a gratuitous picture from our wedding. Because I can't do a post without pictures. :)

p.s. Hi to sweet reader Marybeth who came up and said hi to me at the homeschooling conference on Saturday! It was so nice to meet you and your lovely friend. Can't tell you how glad I am that you introduced yourself. And I love that you know my mom. It really is the smallest of worlds. :)

  1. I'll mostly definitely be spending some time at the Grotto this week for Bar Examinees! It will be such a relief to have it over with.

    1. No joke. So many times over the past few weeks I've thought about writing a post on "Living with the bar exam"—it is not fun. We always quoted what you said about it being like having a really needy pet. Wish I could join you at the Grotto! Johnny will be in my prayers too.

  2. Prayers going your way!! By the way, what church were you married in? From what I can see of the background, it looks familiar. :)

    1. Thanks Iris! We were married at St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale, the parish that I grew up in. I received all my sacraments there except Baptism. :)

  3. Saying prayers for both of you! St. Thomas More, guide Frank as he conquers a big hurdle in his life. I love seeing Fr. Scalia with you in your beautiful wedding picture! He has said the 11 o'clock Mass at St. John Cantius in years past, too! I am heading to Fairfax tomorrow--anything you want me to bring back for you?!

    1. haha, can I say "all my friends?" Just kidding, but really, I'm jealous! Keep an eye out for Conor and Elizabeth at St. John's, let me know if you get to stop by the CIC, and hope you have a WONDERFUL time! And of course thank you so much for the prayers!

    1. I know, you're right! I really need to do a big "wedding day" post with all the details. I'm just so overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the task—going through about 2,000 photos and writing it all up. I'll keep working on it!
